Michael A. Ocasio is Chief Executive Officer of Small Business Development Corporation of Orange County, one of seven economic development organizations residing under the California Infrastructure & Economic Development (IBank).
An economic developer for more than twenty years and former senior commercial banking executive, Mike also serves as president of The Association of Financial Development Corporations, the state-wide industry trade association which represents the seven development corporations. Mike’s civic involvement includes service as Board Chairman and Director of Family Service Association, the largest non-profit social services agency in the Inland Empire and is the current Board Chairman of its affordable housing subsidiary, Aspire Community Housing Development Organization. Mr. Ocasio is also a Dean's Advisory Board member of the Zapara School of Business at La Sierra University, a private liberal arts college located in Riverside, CA.
Mr. Ocasio is also former chapter president of Inland Empire Risk Management Association and past board director of the statewide California Small Business Association (CSBA) and a past Commissioner with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Commission on Recruitment, Retention and Diversity.
A graduate of Southern Illinois University, Mike also holds certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) from the National Development Council.
