Carrie Miller arrived at Small Business Development Corporation of Orange County in September 2021 with a wealth of experience helping businesses prepare and understand financial statements, navigate QuickBooks, and dissect tax and compliance regulations.
Carrie previously served as a manager at RP&B CPAs in Riverside for more than 20 years where her many responsibilities included working with client bookkeepers toward helping them understand the nuances of properly using QuickBooks and other accounting software. She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from California State University, San Bernardino. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs, Riverside.
Outside of her daily work, Carrie lends her expertise to the local arts serving as treasurer for the Riverside Arts Council and as a board member with Riverside Repertory Theater. Her service-oriented values and dedication to bettering her community are evidenced by her work with many nonprofits such as Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Inland Empire, United Way of the Inland Valleys, and Riverside Meals on Wheels to name a few.
Carrie’s world is further enriched by a growing family that includes four grandchildren and involvement with her husband’s passion, owning a microbrewery. After hours, she can be found in the tasting room, helping to plan events and doing the accounting for the new family business. Her own interests center on live theater and touring on her BMW Motorrad motorcycle when the opportunity arises.
