The Gillespie Group, Inc (TGG) was established in 1982 and in 1989 the 100% subsidiary entity, Lighting Resources LLC (LRL) was formed. LRL was created to operate a fluorescent lamp recycling service business providing environmentally friendly recycling services while protecting the environment from mercury. LRL began in Ontario, CA as a pioneer in fluorescent light bulb recycling and is now the nation’s largest bulb recycler picking up large quantities of waste from companies and institutions. It has since expanded its operations and today offers recycling services for: bulbs, ballasts, batteries, electronic waste, mercury, retail returns, smoke detectors, tritium exit signs, and automotive air bags and seatbelts. Since inception the business has expanded throughout the United States and currently operates 14 facilities with locations in CA, IN, AZ, TX, FL, TN, and GA.
